How have the Scottish FA reacted
Very supportive and fully endorse what we are trying to do. Andy
Gould the Head of Football Development Invited us to deliver our
sessions at a regional conference exposing the program to a lot of
coaches and it is now included as part of the Advanced Children
License. We were then invited up to Highland rugby based in
Inverness and delivered it across a combination of rugby and
football. Dunfermline were another club that invited us in as well
as a coaches association that is based south of the border in
Sheffield. So word is spreading.
What plans if any do you have for the future.
We would like to have more expos, where kids from all over the
country come together and play. Having the kids play in a
competitive environment but allowed to make mistakes and
express themselves. We are doing a club support program
Whcalled play the game clubs.Again the
response has been brilliant with 57 clubs
taking part over the last 4 years. We like to
think we have built a trust and a
relationship with clubs and obviously that
is beneficial to us as we may get referred
players to enter our academy.
There is a lot of good work going on
around the country and if our program
adds benefit to any programs up and
down the country great, because
ultimately We are all after the same thing.
We all want to see the 5 year old still
coming through the door when they are
18, 20 30 or 40 years old, playing with the
same passion, enthusiasm and love for
the game.
Then I can say, Job done.
