Great experience for players and coaches
There are a lot of sports tour organisations that regulary bring teams to the UK for a different coaching and cultural experience. I have been fortunate to work with male and female groups at various ages 14 to 21 and from various parts of the world such as USA.,Australia and China and without sounding patronising every group was a joy to work with.
From a coaching
perspective is is a brilliant learning experience not just for the players but also for yourself as a coach.
Trying to asses players you have never met or seen before, how do you pitch the session, gauge how to build a session that is challenging the players and adapt your footy terminology so the players understand what you are saying.!
All experience you can't buy.
Then there is the added pressure you are working under of maintaining and trying to enhance the reputation of the sports tour operator. I can only say the organisations that I have worked for have been ultra professional. provided a quality experience for the players and making sure that the facilities used where of the highest standard.
