LOUISIANA

After parting ways at the the annual Saturnalia party held by BRMHS last December, Louisiana JCLers stored up their spirit and excitement for the coming spring.

Now, they’re gearing up, even though it’s still a bit chilly, to get ready for State Convention. Although there are still a couple of weeks of winter, convention is coming very soon on the weekend of March 6-8. JCLers around the state prepare to show off their spirit, arts, knowledge, and so much more. State convention will bring in students from the whole state, instead of just from Baton Rouge. The first LJCL event of the new year is expected to be a success!

NEVADA

The Nevada Junior Classical League is one of the most spirited delegations you will ever meet. Our four great classical schools are Vegas’ Meadows and Liberty High Schools and Reno’s Sage Ridge and Bishop Manogue. The 60th annual National Junior Classical League convention was held at the University of Las Vegas in 2013.

Currently we’re preparing for Nevada’s tenth State Convention, which will be held in February at Sage Ridge, and the annual Fall Forum, a mini-State held at Liberty. We’re looking forward to some more great conventions full of talented artists, great writers, and altogether knowledgeable and incredible students!
