Salvete, omnes!

As the year quickly comes to an end and we welcome in 2026, I am honored to present the newest issue of the Torch: U.S. As you flip through this issue, you will find pieces that amuse you and bring you closer to all the members of this community.

As we turn the page on another year of JCL, we reflect on the numerous moments where we find ourselves inspired by one another. I hope this issue reminds you of the passion and creativity that define our community. Each article, update, and voice included here reflects the spirit that carries us forward in this journey.

That being said, this issue was only possible because of the JCLers all around the world. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed and submitted to this issue – whether that be an opinion on the This or That question, convention testimonial, or took a moment to engage with the content. I would also like to thank my mentor, Mr. Turner, for the guidance on this issue, and my fellow officers for all of their work on this issue.

So many memories have been made in this past year, and each of these moments deserves to be cherished as we step into the new year with possibility. The JCL spirit continues to grow because of every member who chooses to take part in it. For now, please enjoy the winter edition of the Torch: U.S., and may it remind you of how far we’ve come and spark your excitement for what is to come in the next year.

E corde,

Olivia Chen
