Later at General Assembly IV, results for the 2026-27 NJCL officers were announced, followed by the presentation of scholarships, chorus performance, and recognition of retiring committee members. Later that night, gathering many attendees, That’s Entertainment! showcased the talents of attendees, and everyone participated in the annual “Brown Squirrel” dance.
Coming close to the teary conclusion of convention, students received ribbons for their hard work in every contest from academic testing to graphic arts to Olympika to creative arts. Saturday also saw finals for Open Certamen, Competitive Certamen, and Agon. During Spirit with the theme “Polych-Rome-ia,” each state witnessed each other’s cheers during State Spotlight. The “Day in Old Rome” dinner followed the final General Assembly, with attendees joining the Farewell Dance and others spectating World Series of Certamen.
Soon after, the convention came to a close on Sunday. JCLers, however, were already exchanging texts and scheduling their next meet up. Others reminisced their memories of convention, as they boarded their flights back home. But before long the next convention awaits.
