Salvete omnes!

I can’t believe the ’25-’26 school year is already coming to an end! Over the last few months, the NJCL board has held several meetings to discuss preparation for nationals. Recently, we had our Spring Planning Meeting where I took notes on the fruitful discussions we had. Additionally, final grading for the website contest is complete! I had a really fun time judging the technical execution for all the websites that submitted to the contest, and I was really impressed by every single one. The winners will be announced at nationals.

I’ve also compiled several archives for the NJCL website, including minutes, non-convention contest winners, and newsletters. These updated archives will be posted on the website soon. Beyond my typical communications coordinator duties, I had a lot of fun doing an instagram takeover during National Classics Week and answering everyone’s questions. I also attended game night, where I enjoyed meeting many of you.

And I’m looking forward to seeing even more of you in-person at the national convention this July!

Salvete amici!

Recently, I’ve been working on the Spirit and Service Guide for the 2026 National Convention; check it out in the Convention FAX!

Also, a special thank you to anyone who participated in National Classics Week this April: whether you attended your chapter’s festivities, read up on ancient authors on your own, or participated in the national game night, I hope you enjoyed it (and even learned something new)!

Two quick things to keep in mind:

1. Information about what specific states should bring to convention for the national service project should be out soon, so keep an eye out for that (and consider joining the second vice president GroupMe for updates)!

2. The Club-of-the-Month contest will continue through June and July, so please keep submitting to that even after the school year ends!

See you soon-ington at Bloomington!
