Salvete omnes!

As we say our farewells to seniors and welcome in freshmen, we have come to the final issue of the Torch: U.S. before we meet up again with friends and greet new faces across the nation. For me, piecing together this issue has been a gratifying but bittersweet process. As your NJCL Editor, I have gotten to know so many of you through reading all of your amusing submissions.

While we reminisce about the final moments of fleeting spring and prepare for the scorching heat, I hope this issue will bring you joy amidst the brief partings and items to look forward to in the future and at our next stop: the 2026 National Convention at Indiana University Bloomington.

Throughout this past year, producing the Torch: U.S. has been an incredible learning journey made possible by everyone involved. Fellow officers, thank you for always responding to my messages promptly and sending me content. Mr. Turner, thank you for always fixing my copy errors. Fellow editors, thank you for giving me feedback and suggestions for the Torch: U.S. And finally, JCLers, thank you for always intently flipping through the pages of the Torch: U.S.

E corde,

Olivia Chen
