Entertainment!

Cheers, whispers, and excitement resonate in the Millett Arena auditorium at 8 p.m. on a sweltering Thursday night as JCLers hustle into their seats with their friends and chaperones, eagerly waiting for the 2025 That’s Entertainment! to begin. Ahead of them lies an unforgettable night of humorous skits, melodious music, and amazing talents.
As three former NJCL or NSCL parliamentarians — Alden Okoh-Aduako, Joe Giambrone, and Wali Khan — come on stage together in flashy suits and hats, they are the hosts of the show, known as “Three Parliteers.”
For the second year in a row, Wisconsin’s Ilina Joshi and Ishani Joshi open the show by skillfully playing “Fandango” on their violins. Zoe Newton of Illinois impresses the audience with her version of “Piano Man,” which features a harmonica interlude.
The SCL, who are also the organizers of That’s Entertainment!, leave the audience roaring in laughter with their JCLove Island skit, showcasing mythological and historical characters such as Achilles and Patroclus as its contestants. Aiden Hill of Texas follows with his voice performance of “Out There,” a song about Quasimodo’s desire to experience the outside world from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Dressed as the local deer, the National Committee presents an extraordinary meeting skit discussing matters of the JCLers’ rather disrespectful relationship with the deer in the deep woods in the Poet’s Shack at Miami University.
The Three Parliteers reappear to hype up the audience before the last two shows of this year’s That’s Entertainment! They rap about the power of their name – The Three Parliteers – and what that means to them.
Texas’ Becket Yowell and Mathew Morris perform a bagpipe and electric guitar duet of “Don’t Stop Believing.” The audience got the pleasure to hear – and even sing along to – the well-known tune twice due to a sound technical difficulty.
As a mini movie rolls on across the screen, the 2024-2025 NJCL officers appear in an exclusive edition of the Office(rs), pudding up with a messy
