Salvete omnes!
State convention is quickly coming up! In order to prepare for our State Convention at the end of January, we are reviewing amendments to our constitution, planning spirit themes, and getting in the WJCL spirit. Other than State, we also recently had a Pickleball fundraiser and a service projects where we built Owl houses for local bird sanctuaries.

Aside from planning and leading our Fall Forum, I’ve been working on writing and planning our winter planning meaning coming up in two months.
-Daniel Kim, President
I’ve kept the OJCL instagram page active and showed support for the NJCL pages as well. In order to accommodate new schools looking to join as an OJCL chapter, I’ve created an email template in order to reply to inquiries related.
-Nora Raab, 1 VP
During Fall Forum, I ran both the service and impromptu art workshops, and I’ve helped our Gubernators organize their Make a Difference Days. I have also been working on reorganizing and labelling all the 2 VP articles.
-Hana Cante, 2 VP
Since being elected, I’ve organized spirit, leading Ohio to win first overall for medium states. During Nationals, I was able to print and sell student artwork at Agora, raising over a thousand dollars for scholarships. I’ve organized fundraisers in partnership with the Reds and with FC Cincinnati, earning three hundred dollars in profit. I’ve helped organize Central Ohio’s Make a Difference Day as well.
-Sabrina Bong, Treasurer
I’ve been working on forms to streamline the process of submitting articles and photos for the OJCL’s Torch, along with broadcasting news for JCL chapters across Ohio. I finished the Fall Torch and am currently working on the Winter Torch.

This past month, I planned and attended central Ohio’s Make a Difference Day. It took place on November 16 from 8:45am to 12:30pm at the Childhood League Center. While there, volunteers helped families collect clothing and toys for the holiday season. Afterwards, we cleaned up and boxed any remaining items, making sure that the Childhood League Center was back to normal. It was a great event, and it was amazing to see the impact that service can have on others!
