During Aequora, members taught local elementary students about Classics-related topics. One class focused on crafting amphora from clay, and another class focused on Saturnalia,

in which students made pilei out of paper. They also attended Maryland’s Saturnalia Certamen event, where they wore SNAZZY coordinated outfits :)

Latin students and parents attended a magnificent performance of Gustav Holst’s The Planets at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The performance was not only a musical journey but also a chance to learn more about the stories of the Roman gods, reminding students of the lasting influence of these ancient myths.
