SCLers presented another prerecorded skit, a drama-packed, suspense-filled trailer for nonexistent film The Challenger, depicting the efforts of two certamen players to prove their worth. Sarah Price of North Carolina then performed to the accompaniment of Bruno Mars’s “Treasure,” dancing and twirling while striking her clogs against the stage.

Andrew Lee of Georgia followed with his heartfelt rendition of “Sibelius Sidus” on the violin. To conclude the night’s performances, Demi Zheng of California sang the aria “O Cessate Di Piagarmi” of the 1863 opera Il Pompeo, its classical focus and skillful execution drawing applause and cheers from the audience. As the judges were compiling their final decisions, the night’s hosts discussed campus highlights such as the statues of University of Tennessee, Knoxville mascot Smokey the dog.

After the audience had completed the traditional renditions of “Brown Squirrel,” the winning performances were announced: in third place, Andrew Lee, in second place, Eithan Ackerman, and in first place Henri Pelletier. The audience concluded the night by heading to fellowship.
