Sunny skies shone all weekend as the the NJCL Executive Board gathered in-person in San Antonio, Texas and online via Zoom for their annual Spring Planning Meeting.
The board first approved the Fall Planning Meeting Minutes taken by NJCL Communications Coordinator Lilia AitSahlia. Then, as NJCL Convention was only a few short months away, the board spent the majority of their time together discussing this event. Notably, Ms. Liz Bouis, Convention Advisor, led discussions concerning the agendas of the General Assemblies. The NJCL officers also shared what they’ve been working on since Fall Planning Meeting in October and NJCL Parliamentarian Alden Okoh-Aduako and Constitution Advisor Mr. Brian Compton gave updates on amendments. Additionally, Mr. Todd Wegenhart, National Committee Chair, asked the officers to brainstorm steps to continue promoting the organization.
The National Committee and NJCL Officers then split into their separate agendas. Not only did the officers film a very snazzy video—which you can view below—to help promote this year’s National Classics Week theme: The Kings of Rome, but they also discussed the logistics of Coin Craze.
And so a productive day of meetings came to a close in San Antonio, but we are all excited to see everyone in July in Knoxville for the 71st NJCL Convention!
