Howdy, amici!
Writing this for the 12th and final time is incredibly bittersweet. I’ve loved being able to serve the NJCL for the past three years; the memories I have made with the boards will stick with me forever. These national conventions and all of our planning meetings have been some of the happiest moments of my entire life and I’m sad to have to leave this wonderful organization behind. However, I leave with my head held high. I’m proud to see all of the hard work the officers have put into the JCL pay off. We all have put a major focus on DEI, accessibility, and making convention even more fun coming out of the pandemic. I am excited to see what the future boards will accomplish to make nationals even more exciting.
Thank you to everyone who has ever supported me throughout my journey. Every kind message, cheer, or wave ‘hi’ in the dining hall always made my day. The bonds that I formed over my years in office with all of the amazing JCLers made my terms worth it. I might be traversing the sea this year, but my soul will remain in the Junior Classical League forever. I hope to see you all under the Knoxville sky in 2024!
JCee you Later,
Nolan Heinrich
2022-2023 NJCL President
