FJCLers from all over the state gathered at Fall Forum on November 19, which could be attended virtually or in person. Everyone had a blast taking tests, playing certamen, attending workshops, competing in Ludi, and more! For the first time at Fall Forum, the FJCL Officers ran Coin Wars for their chosen charity, which was a great success! To make sure FJCLers continued to have opportunities to connect over the winter, the Officers held Game Nights in December and January, both of which had wonderful turnouts! For the January Zoom Night, before Game Night started, the Officers hosted an FJCL Election Workshop, led by Milli Patel, with tips for making running foroffice as simple as possible. Towards the end of January and the beginning of February, Regionals season began all across the state. At the same time, the Fall Edition of the Uvae Vitis was published, with a review of everything that happened in the FJCL from Nationals to Regionals. The FJCL Officers can’t wait to meet up with the FJCL delegation in person at the end of March, but until then we’re having so much fun seeing each other at our monthly Game Nights!

The IJCL has kept quite busy since November! Starting November 7th-11th, we held our annual Indiana Latin Week, as declared by our governor. Each day was themed after a different Roman god or goddess, and the local chapters participated in events also themed after their corresponding deity. Then, on Saturday the 12th, we celebrated Fall Latin Day. Fall Latin Day is like a miniature state convention: there were games, a bazaar, and several different colloquia, featuring some local Indiana professors. We have also held two successful Certamen Invitationals, where our local chapters came together for a fun day of academic competition and fellowship. Finally, we continued working on our year-long service project of supporting local children's hospitals as a way of giving back to our community. All in all, it has been a very successful and fun-filled past few months!

Salvete, JCL! Louisiana JCL's state convention is right around the corner, which means that this is the last LJCL state update that will be written under the current state board. The state board has planned a sock drive service project for the weeks leading up to the state convention, which will take place Friday, March 10th through Sunday, March 12th in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Louisiana JCL has also filled all of its office vacancies since the last state update and has welcomed a new editor! The complete state board looks forward to meeting JCLers from schools around Louisiana at state convention in a few weeks and, although reluctant to leave office, looks forward to introducing you to our newly elected board very soon.
