Howdy, Amici! The past several months have just been unreal. Ever since my name was announced as the 2020-2021 NJCL Communications Coordinator, I’ve had to pinch myself every morning. Being a national officer is absolutely worth it, so I encourage anyone who is thinking about running to run. I’ve been hard at work for the past several months. In October, I launched and publicized the website contest. To any current or aspiring webmaster: submit! The website contest is a great way to develop as a webmaster, and you can get some great feedback. Plus, it’s fun to win contests! You can find all of the submission details here. I’ve judged for currency points each month and given feedback on each website. At FPM, I took minutes at all of our meetings and sent them to everyone involved. In November, I launched my JCL webmaster, secretary, and CoCo Slack server that was mentioned in my campaign. We’ve already had some great discussions and I look forward to many more. I'm beyond excited to be your historian this year and for everything to come. So far, I've been working hard and have recently opened the Video of the Month contest up for submissions (submit to VOTM here!!). I look forward to seeing all the videos you guys submit. I have also been judging the photo of the month and have recently just started on the scrapbook. I can’t wait for you guys to see both the final traditional scrapbook and the video scrapbook at nationals this year!
Fall Planning Meeting was great. It was a little strange since it was virtual, but I still had a great time getting to know my fellow officers and the committee members. We had a wonderful tour of the campus, and I am quite sure you all will have a great time if 2021's convention is in person!
