Salvete! I am so excited to be your second Vice President! While I have only been in my position for a couple of months, I have been keeping busy. I started my term by releasing the Club of the Month packet and have accepted responses for September and October. I will be hosting the competition through May, so there is more to come! All submissions are due on the last day of each month, so you have lots of opportunities to share your activities. I look forward to seeing all of your future submissions! Additionally, Raees and I have started to plan National Classics Week. I am so excited to get more details finalized and share the information with you all! I am also both a viewer and an occasional guest on JCLive. All of the shows we have had so far are up on NJCL’s YouTube channel if you want to watch. Lastly, but certainly not least, I have been starting to plan Spirit and Service for nationals. I can’t wait for you all to see what the board and I have in store for this term! Feel free to email me at [email protected]. And as always, I am sending y’all much JCLove!

From game nights with the board to recreating a Mr. Clean picture for our group chat to Zooming for hours on end at Fall Planning Meeting, my time as a national officer has been endless fun. As Parliamentarian, my position is often to advise and to work on the infrastructure of the Junior Classical League. This year, I came in with a plan targeting the aspects of the job I thought was most important. I’ve had many meetings over the past month with our amazing national constitutional advisor, Mr. Compton, to discuss constitutional and bylaw amendments, the youth parliamentarian coursework, and the local constitution contest. I’ve facilitated a Get-to-Know the officers week by creating graphics for the national Instagram and Facebook pages. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working with adults and students who encourage me everyday. If you have any questions about my term or about running for office in 2021, email me at [email protected]!
