Are you looking for more JCL content in your life? (The correct answer is yes.) Does the idea of waiting 52 long weeks between national conventions – or even 2 long weeks between your local chapter meetings – get you down? Maybe you’ve been feeling isolated from your JCL chums this year because some microorganism learned how to wear a new kind of hat and turned off the planet. Maybe you’re a homeschooler looking to get involved in the JCL community for the first time, or maybe you just want some relaxed, JCL-themed background noise while you work on your homework on Monday evenings.
In any case, have we got good news for you: JCL is live on YouTube, every week this year.
In our largest technological upgrade since the Torch: U.S. got color in 2011 [Editor's Note: Thank you, Mr. Ristroph, for blessing the Torch with colors!], the NJCL has ventured into the world of livestreaming with JCLive, your weekly source for JCL news and fun. We’re live from 8-9pm Eastern every Monday at YouTube.com/NJCLsocialmedia to bring you every type of JCL-related content we can think of, from national officer updates to local chapter spotlights, from interviews with JCL alumni to classically-themed Minecraft fun with Magister Craft, and much, much more. There’s a live chat feature for you to interact with the guests (or, recently, play impromptu in-chat Certamen with other viewers). We have a dedicated and growing fanbase, and we’d love for you to be a part of it too!
And when we say “we’d love for you to be a part of it,” we don’t just mean students. Our motto is that JCLive has something for everyone, meaning our content isn’t limited to the gen-Z digital natives in the membership. JCLegends like Mrs. Susan Schearer and Mr. Dennis Webb are regular viewers, as are dedicated SCLers and former NJCL officers Dr. Tyler Heist and Ms. Martina Bright. Mrs. Schearer has called the show “incredible” and commented “I am really blown away by this new NJCL venue!”
