Salvete, amici! I’ve been fortunate enough to keep busy over the past several weeks with the first-ever Classicalia, virtual Spring Planning Meeting, and the JCLive season finale.

As always, check out the JCL Bookshelf for the newly-released issues and archives of state and local publications. I also made an Editors' Guide for local and state editors, so check it out if you're interested!

Please also submit your local and/or state publications to the Publications Contest! The deadline is today, June 1, and you can click the links above to find the rubrics.

Aside from this, I’m currently working on the special edition of the Torch, which will be released before the start of convention. Please send in submssions that you think JCLers in middle school would enjoy reading (if you're unsure, you can email me and I'll take a look).

One last thing: please, please register for this year’s virtual convention! Click for the links to the student and adult registrations if you need them. Spread the word, and tell your friends. If you’d like to learn more about what we have planned this year, read on. I hope to see you all there!

Ab imo pectore,

Irene Calderon

2020-2021 NJCL Editor
