AVODAS HAKODESH AWARD MR. Moishe ROSENTHAL GESHER L’YESHIVOS Mr. Moishe Rosenthal is admired for his genuine sense of caring and concern for others, along with his keen understanding and insight which guide people in all sorts of situations. Together with his long-time friend Shuli Halpert and their organization, Gesher L’Yeshivos, Moishe has helped place hundreds of boys and girls in suitable elementary & high schools, Batei Midrash, or other institutions where they are able to thrive and develop. The needs of these kids are varied and every situation has its own extenuating circumstances. Moishe’s talents and abilities enable him to successfully meet with youngsters and their parents, assess the situation, and work with directors of schools to build bridges and create solutions. Moishe and his wife Chaykie also open their heart and home to singles, hosting them for Shabbos meals, and, when possible, guiding them through shidduchim, marriage, and setting up their own homes. After attending Yeshiva Toras Emes, then located in his native Boro Park, Moishe learned in Mirrer Yeshiva High School. He went on to Ner Yisroel in Toronto before arriving in BMG in Lakewood, where he spent a number of years as a Kollel avreich. The Rosenthals then returned to New York, where Moishe joined – and eventually took over – Rite Lite Ltd., an international Judaica business founded by his father, Reb Yaakov Rosenthal, z”l. Reb Yaakov was an outstanding talmid chochom and ba’al eitzah; his son Moishe credits him as his mentor and inspiration for providing helpful advice and guidance. The Rosenthals are active members of Bais Medrash Torah U’Tefilah and have a close kesher with its rav, Rav Shimon Alster, shlita. Their children, Aviva and Yair Oksenberg, Esti and Zvi Pinter, Shai and Tziporah Rosenthal, and Eliyahu and Shayna Rosenthal are all continuing in their path of Torah and Chessed.
