Today , as we celebrate the birth of our great nation , we also honor the unwavering dedication and service you provide to protect our shores and ensure the safety of all who enjoy our coastal waters .
In times of calm and in the face of adversity , you stand as a beacon of strength and resilience in an ever-complex time . Your commitment to safeguarding our maritime borders , conducting life-saving operations , and promoting boating safety is truly commendable . Every day , we embody the spirit of patriotism , selflessness and sacrifice that defines our nation . As once said , " there is nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer !"
