Leading You're Horse

18 September 2013

having a bit of a "tug" on the end of lead rope as your horse hasnt moved yet?

Do you find he will fluently follow your movements? Or is it again a bit of a "tug of war" game, and your constantly nagging him to keep up?

When your leading, is your rope nice and slack? Or are you constantly having to push into the horse with your arm or hold the clip under the halter in attempt to stop him pushing past or into you?

When you are walking and you feel your horse become nervous or fixed on something, do you allow him to stop and process this thing? Or do you persist that he should keep moving?

When he does see something he is unsure of, does he look to you for reassurance? Or does he turn around and barge over you to get away?

When you are walking and decide to stop, does he softly stop next to you? Or does he keep walking resulting in you "tugging" the halter?.........
