Top Glove Quality News Chairman’s Message Dear Staff of Top Glove, Time has certainly galloped by in the Year of the Horse. Here we are, already more than midway into FY2014 and at this point, I believe it is appropriate that we pause to reflect on what we have achieved so far as an organisation, and even as individuals. I’ll go first and I’ll be frank. As a business, we have not quite attained the level of success we aimed for. Even though our performance improved for the recent quarter, there is much more to do. We still need to discipline ourselves to work so much harder, faster and smarter as we approach the close of our financial year. I strongly encourage everyone to put your best foot forward to ensure we achieve better results in Q4, so that come August 31, we will be well able to match the performance we delivered for FY2013. As we expect the business landscape to remain competitive, we must not be found complacent but committed to carry out more R&D, innovation, quality enhancement, cost efficiency improvements, as well as automation, computerisation and technology transformation initiatives. However, let this not put a damper on our spirits but instead, allow it to inspire us to summon all our resources and give it everything we’ve got, as we run the final lap. At the recent annual dinner, TG-zens certainly demonstrated just how capable, talented and committed they are. Everything from the ambience, to the commendable execution, to the entertainment, drove home the point that when we work together as one, there is no challenge that we cannot overcome, no mountain we cannot scale, no target we cannot achieve. Yes, technology has its place, but quality people will always be the most potent competitive advantage a company has in its arsenal, and Top Glove is blessed to have so many of them in its fold. Without a doubt, people are the reason we have achieved our many successes over the years, and people will once again be the reason we recapture, and even surpass our former glory, to deliver our best performance yet. So here’s to a better 2nd half of 2014 and I hope you enjoy this issue of Top Glove Quality News which the Editorial Board has put together for your reading pleasure. I also take this opportunity to wish all our Muslim colleagues Selamat Berpuasa and Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri in advance. Tan Sri Lim Pg 1
