BLACK GOLD! In June, Generation Angus NZ sent 2 teams of four to Scotland to compete in the Youth Competition at the World Angus Forum. All of those selected for the teams have been through the Future Beef NZ programme and four are past FBNZ Senior Ambassadors. Team Toa member, Patrick Crawshaw, has kindly provided us with a report on his experiences and highlights from the competition. were excellent hosts with great hospitality and humour. Patrick Crawshaw Kenhardt Angus The World Angus Forum was held in Scotland, UK in 2017. The Scottish Aberdeen Angus Society hosted the international event; accommodating farm tours, conferences and a youth competition. I was competing for New Zealand in the youth competition which in all, had a great itinerary involving competition, education and networking. The Scots 4 Emma Pollitt and I, NZ Kaha Nancy Crawshaw (C), Allen Gregory, Georgia Davies and Max Tweedie, had New Zealand entered two teams into worked very hard in the lead up to the competition to make a nine the event, so to be awarded the top strong field.
