TF #09 / 2019 tures that no other large-cab- in business jet can compete with, guaranteeing fully ma- ture systems and a proven propulsion engine.” The Fa lc on 6X c a bi n i s 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m) high and 8 feet 6 inches (2.58 m) w ide – the tallest and w id- est cross-section in a pu r- pose-built business jet – with a leng th of nea rly 40 feet 8 inches long (12.3 m). It can accommodate 16 passengers in three separate lounge areas, which provides space for sev- eral configurations, including a large entrance area, a crew rest compartment and a spa- cious rear lounge. Every aspect of the style and design of the interior was completely rethought based on an extensive review of cus- tomer preferences and mate- rials from Dassault Aviation’s own design studio. The cab- in also has improved natural light thanks to 29 large win- dows, including a unique ceil- ing in the galley – the first ever in business aviation designed to provide additional lighting in an area that is usually cut off from natural light. “The industry is moving to- wards increasingly wider and taller cabins, and our custom- ers have made it clear that they would like to see more space in our new Falcon busi- ness jets,” Trappier contin- ues. “We developed the Falcon 6X in response to our custom- er needs, with a comfortable and well-equipped cabin com- bined with high performance and other flying qualities that our customers value in Fal- con aircraft.” The Falcon 6X is equipped with an ultra-efficient wing that minimizes the effects of turbulence, and a latest gen- eration digital flight control system that handles all con- trol surfaces, including the brand new Flaperon, a con- trol surface that combines the functions of both flaps and ai- lerons. The 6X is the first busi- ness jet with flaperons that sig n ifica ntly improve ha n- dling during approach, espe- cially on steep glides. The aircraf t is also equipped w ith an industr y leading noise reduction sys- tem, which is based on exten- sive experience gained with the new Falcon 8X, as well as a completely new cabin and third generation EASy III on- board equipment. The Falcon 6X will come fully equipped, including w ith the Fa lcon- Sphere II logbook and the rev- olutionar y FalconEye Com- bined Vision System, the first hea d-up-d isplay that com- bines enhanced and synthet- ic vision.
