Elliott Sheaf Editor-in-chief
West Ham through and through , Elliott is a current West Ham season ticket holder and voted to remain at The Boleyn . Growing up with Paolo Di Canio as his hero has led to his unconventional outlook on the modern game , often wondering why players don ’ t sit on the ground and cry anymore ? His highlight as a football fan came recently , being lucky enough to attend the last ever game at Upton Park to which he proudly claimed was “ the biggest day of my life ”, a damning indictment not only on West Ham United ’ s recent success , but his own life overall .
Starting his own footballing career as a pacey centre forward , then gradually moving backwards to less and less influential positions , he later went on to be a pioneer in making full back the pivotal position it is today . Elliott has since started getting his FA coaching badges as a way to live vicariously through players with more ability than he ever had .
Adam Sharratt Creative director
A long-standing Liverpool fan , Adam came of age in an era of Gerrard , Carragher and a near-guaranteed 4th place finish . Unsurprisingly his best moment as a fan was a certain balmy night in 2005 and his worst was the last day of the 2013-14 season . Having booked the Monday off work in advance he proceeded to methodically drink a crate of larger whilst drowning his sorrows . Adam has never once said next year will be there year .
As an amateur , 5 ’ 6 ” Adam played every position on the pitch until the manager settled on the position of striker , laying the foundations of a role that would later become known as ‘ The False 9 ’. In his final season he started a total of zero games but made an impact from the bench , contributing three goals ( one penalty rebound , a deflection and an open goal resulting from a botched clearance from the keeper ). Adam retired from 11-a-side at the age of 16 to take up interests in drinking , girls and music .
