Convent of Christ or Convento de Cristo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is
located on a hilltop of Tomar town. This magnificent monument consists of
Templar Castle of Tomar, the Order of Christ convent of Re-birth & the conventual
wall. It was founded by the Knights Templars in 12 th Century.
Considered as the main feature of Tomar Town, the Convent of Christ was built
