Gi Fernando is an entrepreneur and an investor. In 2013, he founded The Deep Group which
owns, invests in, and manages a group of high-potential technology businesses, particularly
in the social media, business services and social entrepreneurship sectors. The Deep group
includes businesses such as Free:Formers, a digital training business; LoveThis, a social to do
list business; Booking Bug, an online booking and reservation system, the Deep Ventures VC
Fund; and Deep Labs.
Gi’s career began at 21 when he sold his first entrepreneurial project. Since then he has
accumulated experience including five years with HSBC implementing ground-breaking and
innovative technologies for the banking group and later setting up Western Consulting in
2002, a digital CRM service helping smaller businesses punch above their weight. His most
