COMPETITION WAS HOT AS THE
SUBWAY SUMMER SURF SERIES HIT
QUEENSLAND SHORES FOR THE
VERY FIRST TIME IN OCTOBER AND
FROTHING GROMMETS CAME FROM
FAR AND WIDE TO EAT FRESH AND
SURF HARD.
In a stellar performance, it was Noah
Cooney (Bangalow, NSW) who triumphed
in victory in the Under 18 boys division
defeating an in-form Jared Hickel
(Cronulla, NSW), Kota Iida (Currumbin,

her path to victory in the Under 18
girls final defeating Sophie McCulloch
(Alexandra Headland, QLD), Jaleesa
Vincent (Coolum Beach, QLD) and Ren
Hashimoto (Tugun, QLD) respectively.
Callister managed to seal victory with a
heat total of 12.03 (out of a possible 20).
