The State of Queensland will
again be divided in 2014 with the
impending World Surfaris Coast
of Origin Interclub Series set
for July.
Boardriding clubs from the Gold and Sunshine Coasts will thrust themselves into
their respective bunkers and put their best
surfers on show for the chance to represent their “coast” during the Gold and
Sunshine Coast’s regional challenges,
scheduled for July 12th and 13th.
The two iconic surf coasts will then join
Stand Up Paddle and Longboard clubs
as they faceoff directly in a Gold Coast
V.S Sunshine Coast State Challenge,
26th-27th July.

Snapper Rocks Surfriders, Burleigh Longboard Club and SUPSA took out last year’s
State Championship honors as they
helped the Gold Coast to their first series
win and, in turn, stopped a rampaging
Sunshine Coast from their third straight
series win.
This year’s series is expected to boil over
into an all-out war of waves as battle lines
are drawn and bragging rights put on the
line.
The best surfers from both coasts will
again line up to represent their clubs this
July for a chance to represent their club
and coast in the World Surfaris Coast of
Origin Interclub Series.
