HOLIER GRAIL The Holier Grail was the answer for players who loved the Holy Grail, but wanted more reverb flavors and tweaking options than a single knob could provide. Dressed in an enclosure very similar to the Deluxe Memory Man, the Holier Grail featured an additional Room algorithm, as well as expanded features such as selectable long and short reverb length, a gate function with several controls allowing for cool studio effects, and stereo outputs. The gate function provides a wide range of—you guessed it—gated reverbs. It takes guitar, keyboard, and vocal signals and turns them into instant new wave. This is a great choice for studio aficionados or live players seeking a unique reverb flavor. It can certainly be used as a standard reverb unit, but its feature set begs to be used for sonic exploration on every instrument on stage and in the studio. For extra fun, run drum mics through the Holier Grail for cool ‘80s, Phil Collins-esque drum sounds. ToneReport.com 33
