One of the most faithful and well-received
Bee Baa-inspired fuzzes is the Bee Buzz from
Black Cat Pedals. Black Cat originally built
the Bee Buzz as a small, custom run for a
Japanese distributor, but decided to add
it to the permanent product line when it
performed much better than expected saleswise. The Bee Buzz is an improved and much
more compact version of its predecessor
which retains all the original’s unique
functionality. Black Cat improved the noise
specs to modern standards and paid careful
attention to the balance between settings,
making its version of this vintage design
