DITTO X4 LOOPER TC’s loopers are some of the best and most uniquely featureladen loopers on the market. The company’s Ditto and Ditto X2 models attained instant classic status based on ease of use, rad tones, and a uniquely Scandinavian dedication to highly-functional minimalism. The new Ditto X4 takes this formula and maximizes it for the truly loopobsessed pedalboard pilot. It is outfitted with two separate loop tracks with dedicated footswitches and level knobs, and these loops can be set for serial or sync operation, which means that they can be set to go simultaneously or in succession 18 TONE TALK // for different parts of a song. There is a loop decay knob as well, for controlling whether the loop runs indefinitely or fades out gradually, and dedicated footswitches for stop, and to kick in the onboard effects. Speaking of onboard effects, the Ditto X4 has some very exciting ones, including fade, double, reverse, hold, once, and tape stop, which brings the loop to a lurching, detuned halt, as if a tape machine was being abrubtly shut down. Pretty cool. Stereo innies and outies and MIDI capability round out the X4’s feature set. Buy one now! TC Electronic’s 2016 Industry Takeover
