The TGO41 is named such because it is equipped with BAT41 diodes, a less-common part that provides optimal compression and clipping. The choice of diodes was not incidental, as they were selected to compliment the circuit. ➋ SONIC RESEARCH ROLLS OUT THE MINI STOMPBOX STROBE TUNER Sonic Research’s award-winning Turbo Tuner enters the micro-pedal realm. The original Turbo Tuner was the first compact strobe tuner pedal available and the Mini is even smaller. The Mini boasts ±0.02 cent accuracy as well as full programmability for alternate tunings. The tuning software is also improved to pick up notes faster than previous models. ➋ ➌ ELEPHANT ELECTRONICS UNVEILS THE ECHO BASE Elephant Electronics brings us the Echo Base, a straightforward delay that is voiced to hearken back to the analog days of yore. The unit tops out at 560 milliseconds of delay time, but due to the voicing, this is more than enough. Many players use analog delays for slapback and many older pedals topped out at 300ms, so the 560 is more than generous for such a timeless sound. ➌ 8 NOW PLAY THIS // Buzzworthy Gear
