STEP 1:
GETTING STARTED
WITH RESISTORS
Place the transistor socket in its position
and solder it in. Then place the three
resistors and bend the leads outward
to hold them in place. Clip the leads off,
save the longest one.
STEP 2: CAPACITORS
Use the snipped lead as the jumper wire.
Mount the non-electrolytic capacitors,
bend the leads outward and solder
them in. Trim the leads. Then mount the
electrolytic capacitors. Mind the polarity,
make sure the positive and negative
sides are correct. Solder and clip.
STEP 3:
MOUNTING THE TRANSISTOR
Trim the leads of the germanium
transistor and place in the socket. Try
to get it short so that the part will clear
the enclosure lid. Make sure that the
transistor is oriented correctly. If it’s
not, just remove it and turn it around.
