Morley CLIFF BURTON POWER FUZZ WAH Some of the most sought after vintage fuzz-wahs were made by the original Tel- Ray Morley company. Its Power Wah Fuzz is a beastly chrome classic, and its most lauded and legendary user is without a doubt the late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton. Burton made use of the PWF’s gnarliest sonic attributes on the band’s early records for his distinctive “lead bass” stylings, and metal bassists have been seeking the effect out ever since. Morley has recently released a new pedal based on the vintage model as a tribute to Cliff Burton, in collaboration with both Metallica and the Burton family. This big- bottomed fuzz-wah has been officially dubbed the Cliff Burton Power Fuzz Wah, and though it was designed with a bassist in mind, it is equally useful for guitar, keys, electrified trumpet, or whatever else you might want to plug into its quarter-inch jack.
