TC Electronic changed
the effects game when it
released pedals like the
Flashback delay and Hall
of Fame reverb. While
those devices featured
the highly innovative
TonePrint feature, TC also
released some righteous
analog goodness with
that line of pedals,
including the MojoMojo
and Dark Matter.
As straightforward
overdrive and distortion
pedals, they will fit into
any rig and they sound
great. The MojoMojo
does everything from
low-gain drive to
sweet saturation, and
it gives you everything
from cleanish boost
to crunchy rhythms
and great solo tones.
And while the Dark
Matter may look like
TC’s answer to the
&
TC ELECTRONICS
Boss Metal Zone, it’s
actually more of a high-
gain overdrive pedal.
You could certainly use it
in some metal contexts,
but it’s definitely more
of an old school metal á
la Black Sabbath. If you
use the MojoMojo and
Dark Matter in tandem,
there are few dirt tones
you can’t get, and if
Dark Matter Distortion
that doesn’t pique your
interest, how about this:
you can get them both

$100. That’s right: For

been going at a highly
discounted rate, so go
ahead and justify them
under the premise of “you
