While not for everybody , the wall of sound can be necessary for single guitarists looking to fill out space in the mix of a power-trio . There are a million ways to achieve this , but contrary to popular belief , one doesn ’ t need a grotesquely overpopulated pedalboard to make a massive sound . In fact , some of the biggest sounds I have ever cast into a room have come from one guitar , one pedal and one amp .
