SGT FURY and the howling commandos

"KEEP MOVIN', you lunkheads! Nobody lives forever! So git the lead out and follow me! WE'VE GOT A WAR TO WIN !" Furyk Fury

Strong values

Each member of the Howlers has its own values, and personalities. Every of them have different stories and ethnicities: Dino Manelli is Americano-Italian, he is the representation of the typical American movie actor. Gabriel Jones is Afro-American, nourishing the current stereotypes, he would play trumpet on the battlefield. “Dum-Dum” Dugan is second-in-command and is the best perk Nick Fury has in his team, ironically, he’s British, he could be the symbol of the huge cooperation between Great Britain and them. They are a small representation of the ethnic difference you could find amid the troops.

Based in Great Britain, they are the American flag on Europe. Moreover, this incredible team did anything to complete the thousands missions they were assigned to, in various locations, even Pacific. We could compare them to the Inglorious Basterds (characters from the Tarantino movie, of the same name). They often met Captain American on the battlefield, and always helped each others to destroy Nazism at his root: consequently, this squad is one of the rare squads to have faced Hitler in person.

Sgt Fury and his howling commandos represent mainly the power and the strength of the United States with their brutal and accurate striking force. They represent the perfect army squad and were an icon, even if the first issue was released in the post-war period.

Executing each mission at any cost, they are the ideal of the American army: Strong-minded, Brotherhood, Muscles, Ethnicity and Extreme Devotion.
