Summer is always a busy time of the year. We were on the move with a lot of community
projects and events:
 Food seemed to be a major theme for us this summer with our annual Save a Cow, Roast a
Pig FFA fundraiser; Culver’s tokens, DQ Dilly Bar and Hot Dog customer appreciation days here
at the bank; and our first time hosting at Tomah Community Table.
 We worked off all the food by participating in the Remembering Jesse Parker Races and
walking in Tomah’s Independence Day parade with Doyle’s Belgians leading the way.

We couldn’t get enough of the horses at the parade, so we sponsored the Draft Horse Show
Melissa Troutt
and Rodeo at the Monroe County Fair. The Fair itself kept us busy with Business After 5,
Herdsmanship Judging, the Junior Livestock Auction, and the Human Foosball tournament where the T-wood
Foosers took second place, donating our winnings to the Monroe County Junior Fair.
 Timberwood volunteers once again had a great time at the National Tractor Pull manning the registration booth.
 We enjoyed sunshine at the park while helping out the kiddos with arts and crafts at The Parenting Place’s
Winnebago Wednesdays.
 Though it sadly signals the end of the summer, we were excited to get area kids ready for school by partnering with
the Tomah Lions Club to Stuff the Bus with school supplies. Timberwood was also a sponsor of Tomah’s Back to
School BBQ where we presented 5 local teachers $200 each to use towards their classrooms. Congratulations to
Charlie O'Brien from Tomah High School, Mary Gruber from Lemonweir Elementary, Amy King from Tomah High
School, Scott Nerby from St. Paul’s Lutheran School, and Nicole Raboine from LaGrange Elementary!
 Tomah’s first Downtown Thursday Nights kept us busy every week throughout July and August. The 6-week event
was well received by the community, shattering projected attendance estimates and bringing together 1,100 people
on up to 2,500 on the last night! Timberwood employees had a blast at our booth with free giveaways, prize
drawings, and games, all while enjoying the fabulous music, food, and activities. Needless to say, we are excited for
next summer!
We’ve enjoyed getting out in the community this summer and we hope you’ve enjoyed seeing us, too. To keep up to

Summertime means grilling, so that’s just
what we did! Our grill master John grilled up
hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats for us to
serve at the Tomah Community Table in July.
Murray’s on Main was kind enough to
prepare the sides, making for a delicious
community meal!

Nights with Orchard Fire kicked
off. Later, we kept busy handing
out freeze pops to the kiddos and
signing adults up for prizes.
Tomah Chamber’s Back to School BBQ was the
perfect opportunity for us to present 5 local
teachers $200 each to be used towards their
classroom supplies. Teachers were nominated
by you through our Nominate a Teacher event.
