Tomah and the surrounding area is full of hardworking and talented business owners. These businesses work diligently
each day to get their products to the consumer. Whether it be serving food, providing retail items, manufaturing products or
putting a new furnace in someone’s home, these employers work tirelessly for their customers.
These businesses also work hard to find the right employees. Businesses looking for employees of all levels and education
including high school students, college graduates, skilled laborors, apprenticeships and interns. With the workforce challenges
that employers face, we are holding a Career & Job Fair on March 20 at Tomah High School to efficiently put job seekers in
front of our many employers. The Tomah Chamber & Visitors Center, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development,
the Job Center of Wisconsin, and the Tomah Area School District are sponsoring the event.
The Career and Job fair will start with a student only session from 1:00pm-3:20pm, a student/parent power hour from 3:30-
4:30 and will then be open to the public from 4:30pm-6:00pm. During the student/parent power hour of the Career & Job Fair
there will also be job search related workshops offered. Job Center staff will be available to assist with resume review and
interview preparation. Job seekers are encouraged to dress for success and bring copies of their resume.
Businesses can accept applications and resumes onsite, build their talent pipeline by making valuable connections to the
youth, showcase your business, and connect face to face with prospective employees. If you’re a business looking to fill
immediate vacancies and/or build your talent pipeline by making valuable connections with youth, you don’t want to miss
this opportunity!
