MUSIC ON MILWAUKEE BACK TO SCHOOL BBQ
Fun times are right around the corner! Join us on August
11th on Milwaukee Street for great music and even better
people! Music will start at 3:30 with local musician
Duncan Peterson opening the afternoon. Greg Hall and
The Wrecking Ball will be on stage following Peterson and
Minneapolis native Tim Sigler Band will close out the evening. Come one, come all! Families in the Tomah Area School
District are encouraged to join the community for an
end of summer, Back to School BBQ evening! We’ll be
at Fireman’s Park on Tuesday, August 21st starting at
5:00 PM. The first 300 people will be provided with
dinner. Activities will be provided and families will
have a chance to meet some of the new and existing
teachers entering the Tomah Area School District.
Finish summer and greet the school year with a bang!
Tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 at the gate. Beer,
seltzer and hard water beverages will be for sale by the
Tomah Lions Club, while soft drinks and water will be
available for purchase at the two food vendors that
will be on site. Tickets are on sale at tomahwisconsin.
com. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own
sunscreen and a chair. (Must be 21 or older to attend.)
MONROE COUNTY
SHERIFF’S FORUM
Hear directly from the candidates running for Monroe
County Sheriff at the Sheriff’s Forum on Tuesday, August
7th at the Tomah High School Auditorium at 7:00 PM. The
Forum will last about 90 minutes. Each candidate will have
the opportunity to answer every question in round robin
style. Candidates will have no knowledge of the questions
prior to hearing them on stage. This is your opportunity to
be an informed voter before the primary election on August
14th. All voters in Monroe County are welcomed to attend.
Timberwood Bank will also be awarding 5 teachers
with $200 to go towards the needs of their classrooms.
The public is encouraged to nominate a deserving
teacher to Timberwood Bank by August 10th.
