The Member States of the United
Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization meeting from
October 25 to November 16, 1995 in
Paris on the occasion of the 28th
session of the General Conference,
have adopted and proclaimed a
Declaration of the Principles of
Tolerance. to take all the necessary
positive measures to promote tolerance
in society, because tolerance is not
only a principle but also a necessary
condition for peace, economic and
social progress of all peoples.
