Advance South Island Way
Town staff will receive a scope and fee near the middle of 2023 that will advance the design of the project to 75 percent . A right-of-way review as well as a probable cost estimate will be included in the scope and fee , which will include an outline of the property needed for the project . Town Council will discuss the scope and fee at a future Town Council meeting .
Enhance and Update the Town ’ s Traffic Mitigation Plans for Roadways Not Meeting the Town ’ s Level of Service Standards
In early 2023 , the Engineering & Public Works Department and the Police Department provided an updated plan , which included updates on projects being managed by other agencies .
The extention of Island Way is seen as an important step in mitigating traffic along the Indiantown Road corridor .
