Gwynedd Mercy University
East Campus
I
n December 2018, Gwynedd Mercy University nearly doubled
the size of its campus by purchasing a 154-acre property
adjacent to its Gwynedd Valley campus.
With the new property comes new possibilities. The University
plans to transform the property into a state-of-the-art
facility that will enhance existing programs and support the
introduction of new, innovative programs. With 154 acres and
157,000 square feet of usable interior space to work with,
there’s a lot to be excited about.
“We are absolutely thrilled that we were able to take advantage
of such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase this prime
piece of property,” said President Deanne D’Emilio, JD. “Some
of our current facilities are bursting at the seams, and this new
space will provide exciting opportunities to expand and enhance
the educational programs available to new and continuing
GMercyU students.”
With the addition, GMercyU’s Gwynedd Valley campus has
expanded to a total of 314 acres. On the property, there is an

existing building that can be renovated to fit the University’s
needs. The property was purchased from Merck Sharp & Dohme
Corp., who was previously renting the property to Siemens.
