DREAM BUSINESS a REALITY

“ I found myself in a suit and tie and on my 30 minutes at lunch , I would FaceTime with my interns . Things were getting done , but I had to show the people on my team that I was just as dedicated as they were ,” CJ said .
Fast-forward to more than a year later and Immortal Vision Studio is thriving . The business is a one-stop shop for creativity with four sectors – a studio creators can rent out for photography or videography ; an agency that small businesses and athletes can hire to produce content ; Immortal Vision University , which partners with area high schools to teach students about entrepreneurship and provide realworld skills ; and Immortal Impact , a non-profit that serves as an advocate for technology for black and brown boys ages 13-17 .
“ We do more than just create . We educate , empower , and connect with individuals . It may sound like it was just instant gratification or a hot streak and it wasn ’ t going to last , but I was determined to keep it going . A year later I ’ m blessed to still be here , and immortal is how I hope this stays ,” CJ said .
CJ credits the skills and values he learned at GMercyU for giving him the foundation he needed to pursue his dreams . He knows firsthand the value a Mercy education provides and has hired many Griffins to work with him , including fellow GMercyU alum Monet McGorda ’ 19 who serves as the Agency Director .
“ Small prepares you for big . The small school really gives you that one-on-one attention to excel . It doesn ’ t matter what school you went to . It ’ s about the tools you get at that school . That ’ s what really matters . When individuals talk about going to GMercyU , you ’ re going to get a respectful community with the support you need . “
