A MESSAGE from the PRESIDENT
Spring greetings from GMercyU !
Do you have that one song that you find yourself humming while cooking dinner or doing housework ?
For me , it ’ s the Circle of Mercy . It ’ s a hallmark of all our celebrations here at GMercyU and no matter how many times I hear it , I ’ m always moved . While a lot has to do with the Voices of Gwynedd ’ s stunning rendition , I believe it ’ s because the words really ring true .
The Circle of Mercy is timeless .
As evidenced by the alumni stories in this magazine , once you ’ re a Griffin , you ’ re always a Griffin . No matter where you may go or what you may do after graduating , you carry the Mercy values with you .
Whether it ’ s as a school principal and nonprofit founder like Crystal Edwards ’ 20 ( page # 18 ) or an entrepreneur helping the next generation find their passion like CJ Wolfe ’ 19 ( page # 20 ), our alumni are living out Mercy .
Often , Mercy leads you back to where it all started like it did for Blase Cesarone ’ 17 , who is in his first season as head coach of GMercyU ’ s Men ’ s Lacrosse Program ( page # 14 ). I couldn ’ t think of a better mentor for our next generation of Griffin alumni than one of our own .
You are all forever Griffins , doing what Griffins have always done : making a difference for yourselves and your communities .
We are looking forward to celebrating our soon-to-be graduates at our Commencement celebrations , and I hope to see you at our next alumni event .
I wish you continued health and a joyous spring !
