These are: Nosipho Tembe( TUT), Ghita van der Merwe( BHC School of Design) – closely behind the top five; Jessica Cook, Benjamin Price, Madelain Gibbons and Rachel Piper( all of Design Time). There were also Samantha Kahumba( Inscape CT), Abigail Rotcher and Chante Grobler( both from Inscape Pretoria), Georgia O’ Hare( Inscape Stellenbosch), Danielle Mouton and Engelina Malunga( both from NMB) and finally Shae Gafney of Vega JHB.

2026 project
The 2026 project will focus on creating a space that needs to accommodate two very different cultures and their families. The students will face the challenge of having to work at incorporating a small original solid timber kitchen into their design while adapting the space for very specific cultural and religious cooking methods. The space needs to accommodate multiple people working in the space doing communal cooking while also catering to the couple’ s children’ s needs. We are excited to get the project underway and receive the submissions in September.
