SQ: Reassuring Travel

during Hectic Times

From 18 to 23 March, Glenaki Tourism Consultancy, in collaboration with Singapore Airlines, organized a press trip to Cambodia, featuring a stay at the stunning Shinta Mani Wild.

Following the outbreak of the Iran conflict escalation on 28 February, flight operations in the Middle East were disrupted - impacting many Belgian travelers who rely on regional hubs to reach Southeast Asia. This created uncertainty around travel to the region.

With four weekly direct flights from Brussels to Singapore, Singapore Airlines continues to offer a reliable and comfortable gateway to Asia, ensuring smooth onward connections across the region.

To highlight this, four Belgian tier-1 journalists together with Birgit Defoort, managing director of Glenaki tourism Consultancy, were invited by Singapore Airlines on a trip to Shinata Mani Wild in Cambodia on 17-22 March 2026. Smooth flights, wi-fi on board, great service Brussels-Singapore-Phong Phen/Cambodia.

In Cambodia we had the luxury to be hosted at Shinta Mani Wild, all-inclusive hospitality in the midst of an untouched wilderness. We stayed 4 nights zooming along on motorbikes, soaring above the canopy, dipping in clear water, sundowner cocktails, jungle cruise and high-end foraged cuisine.

The trip resulted in strong media coverage for Singapore Airlines, including several features in Touring Magazine.

While some destinations in Southeast Asia have seen cancellations and slower bookings, this also means attractive offers are currently available. It’s a great moment to rediscover the region with confidence.
