BACK TO FOOTBALL
On August 28th, the Jaguars Foundation celebrated 25 years of community engagement in the
First Coast community and the kickoff to the 2019 football season with their annual Back to
Football Kickoff Luncheon at TIAA Bank Field.
The luncheon featured the presentation of the 2019 Jaguars Foundation Community Leader
Award and the 2019 Jaguars Sportsmanship and Courage Award. This year’s Community Leader
award recipient was A.J. Bouye. The award recognizes the individual who is making signifi cant
contributions to the community through their time, actions and dedication. A.J. has extensively
given his time to cancer charities and events. He has made a difference in the lives of those
affected by making numerous visits to Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital, appearing at Jaguars
Crucial Catch Survivor Night and he personally donated Superbowl tickets with travel and a meet
and greet to Breast Cancer Survivors. A.J. truly embodies what this award represents.
The 2019 Jaguars Sportsmanship and
Courage award is designed to recognize
the individual who is a leader in the locker
room and has overcome obstacles with
great courage. This year’s award went to
Josh Lambo. Josh exhibits leadership with
his work with various nonprofi ts. Josh can
always be counted on to support the Jaguars
Foundation’s initiatives, whether it’s showing
off his golf game at the annual Jaguars Golf
Classic or attending the Taste of the NFL
dinner for hunger awareness. He has made
contributions of both his time and money to
animal welfare organizations such as Fur
Sisters and the Jacksonville Humane Society.
