NATIONAL ANTHEM
Although Tenor Patrick Mason makes his
anthem debut today for the Jacksonville
Jaguars, he is no stranger to large-venue
performance, with appearances at over 90
professional, semi-professional and college
events in Seattle, Honolulu, Portland, Kansas
City, Philadelphia and many appearances
in the Baltimore/Washington area, where
he has been featured in over 20 Baltimore
Orioles games and 20 Washington Capitals
games.
Today’s Colors will be presented by a joint
color guard consisting of members from the
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue department
and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s offi ce and
sailors from NAS JAX. A 100-yard American
fi eld fl ag will be held by fi rst responders and
military servicemen and women from the
northeast Florida region.
HALFTIME
Halftime will feature a relay race in support
of the NFL’s Play 60 initiative. Four teams
made up of participants from local schools
will compete. Participants will navigate
through a series of obstacles then catch
a pass from a former Jaguars player and
cross the goal line. Once the entire team
has made it through the course each team’s
mascot (Jaxson DeVille, Mary Moo of the
Dairy Council, Thumper of the American
Heart Association, and Wolfi e of Wolfson
Children’s Hospital) will race to the Jaguar
head in the center of the fi eld. The fi rst one
that reaches the Jag head will be crowned
champion.
NEW FEATURES THIS SEASON!
His performances have included two previous
NFL appearances for the Kansas City Chiefs,
including his most recent appearance at
Arrowhead Stadium in August 2017, one
Canadian Football game and several arena
football appearances as well.
Patrick has also been featured at nearly 10
Major League Soccer matches in Portland,
Kansas City and Washington D.C. and several
NBA games for the Washington Wizards.
Patrick currently resides in Annapolis,
Maryland.
On hand to interpret the National Anthem for
the hearing impaired is ROAR Cheerleader,
Kinsey.
